Luxury car maker Bentley plans to increase its focus on emerging markets, such as India, to boost sales to compensate for the slow down in developed economies. Bentley has sold 100 cars in India in the past 5 months and is tapping HNIs.
Bentley introduced the world’s fastest car in India, Continental Flying Spur Speed with a top speed of 320 kmph that will be available at Rs 2.5 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). With the launch of the new Speed variant, the company is targeting about 10 units of the Flying Spur family in the domestic market. Besides the new car, Bentley sells four other cars in the Indian market.
Bentley sold over 10,014 cars globally in 2007 and has a order backlog of 30 cars in the Indian market. Lets wait and watch the Indian reaction to Bentley's Speed!
